Get work history, education, and contact details out of medical CVs without retyping them

Challenges we solve

Long, dense CVs that take time to read

Physician and nurse CVs often run many pages with rotations, residencies, and positions at several sites. Copying that history into an ATS by hand is slow and error-prone.

Inconsistent date formats across countries

Clinical staff move between countries and employers, and their CVs mix date styles and languages. Recruiters spend time working out who worked where and when.

Sensitive personal data in every file

Healthcare CVs contain personal data that your privacy team needs to account for. You need to know exactly where a resume goes when you send it to a parser.

Why Healthcare Teams Choose Resume Parser

Work history with normalized dates

Each role is returned with title, organization, location, and start and end month and year as numbers, plus an isOngoing flag. Month names are translated to English.

Role descriptions kept readable

The description of each role is returned as markdown in skillsDescription, so details like departments or procedures stay readable instead of being flattened into keywords.

Education and languages

Degrees, schools, years, notes, and listed languages with levels are returned as separate fields, which matters for roles with language requirements.

Clear data handling

The API is hosted on Hetzner in Helsinki, Finland. The /v1/parse endpoint does not store the PDF or the parsed result. Resume text is processed by OpenAI (US) as a subprocessor. If your policies do not allow that, contact us about on-premise.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

There is no dedicated field for licenses, registrations, or certifications. The response uses one fixed schema: contact details, links, work experiences, educations, and languages. A credential written inside a role or an education entry stays in that entry text (skillsDescription or notes), where your system can search for it. A credential listed only in a separate section may not be returned. Test with your own CVs using the 50 free parses per month.

It accepts PDFs up to 5 MB with a text layer and returns work experiences, educations, contact details, and languages. Publication lists are not a field in the schema. Long CVs take longer to parse. Parsing is synchronous and can take up to 60 seconds, so set your HTTP client timeout to at least 60 seconds.

The parser reads CVs in many languages and always returns English field names. Month names are translated to English. Languages listed on the CV are returned with their levels when the CV states them.
