Terms of Service

1. Service

Resume Parser ("the Service") is a resume and CV parsing API provided by Herizon Oy, Helsinki, Finland. By using the Service, you agree to these terms.

2. API usage

Access to the API requires an API key. You are responsible for keeping your API key secure. Do not share your API key or embed it in client-side code.

The API allows 30 requests per minute per key. Usage beyond the free monthly parses requires prepaid credits. Exceeding these limits may result in throttling or temporary suspension.

3. Payment and credits

  • -Each account gets 50 free parses per month. The free allowance does not carry over to the next month.
  • -Usage beyond the free allowance is paid with prepaid credits bought by card through Stripe. One credit is one successful parse.
  • -Prices are shown excluding VAT. VAT is added at checkout where it applies. EU businesses outside Finland can enter a VAT ID at checkout for reverse charge.
  • -Credits never expire.
  • -Unused credits can be refunded on request. Contact [email protected].
  • -If a payment is refunded or disputed, the credits bought with it are removed from the account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • -Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • -Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the underlying parsing models
  • -Submit documents that contain malware or malicious code
  • -Resell API access without a reseller agreement
  • -Exceed agreed-upon rate limits or usage quotas

5. Availability

We aim to keep the API available, but we do not offer an uptime guarantee or SLA. Contact us if you need one.

6. Data processing

The /v1/parse endpoint does not store the PDF or the parsed result. Resume text is processed by OpenAI as a subprocessor. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

7. Liability

The Service is provided "as is". While we strive for accuracy, parsing results should be verified for critical applications. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding any claim.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate the service agreement with 30 days written notice. We may suspend access immediately for violations of these terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Helsinki, Finland.
